Privacy policy
UDI DSP is a software brand by UDI AUDIO, registered in Israel. This page covers what data we collect through udidsp.com and our plugins. Questions or requests: support@udidsp.com.
What we collect
Visiting the site — your browser sends standard technical data (IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed) to our hosting provider, the same as any website. Cookies needed to keep the site and checkout working are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies are only used if you accept them — seeCookies, analytics & advertising below.
Buying or activating a licence — purchases, accounts and licence activation run through Moonbase, our merchant of record and licensing partner. They collect your name, email and payment details to process the sale and manage your account; UDI DSP never sees or stores your card details. We can look up your purchase through Moonbase to support you — verify it, help with activation, or process a refund — but don't separately keep your payment details or licence records ourselves. See Moonbase's own privacy policy for details of what they collect.
Contacting us — if you email us or use the support form, we keep what you send (name, email, message) for as long as it takes to help you.
Newsletter — if you subscribe, we store your email address to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time, via the link in any newsletter email or by contacting support.
Cookies, analytics & advertising
Always on — cookies Moonbase needs for the cart, checkout and signing in, and a note in your browser's storage that remembers your cookie choice. The site doesn't work properly without them, so they don't need your consent.
Only if you accept — when you first visit, we ask. Nothing below is loaded until you click Accept, and if you click Reject it never is.
- Google Analytics (Google) — which pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type and approximate location, so we can see how the site is used. Its cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) last up to two years. - Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland) — which pages and products you view, and when you add to cart, start checkout or buy (the products, order value and an order reference, reported by our checkout). We use this to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who visited the site. Meta may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy. Its cookie (
_fbp) lasts up to 90 days.
We rely on your consent for these. You can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawing stops any further collection. Google and Meta may process this data in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Activation & telemetry
A retail licence activates through your UDI DSP account: the plugin checks in online to validate it, using a device identifier so a trial or seat isn't reused beyond what your licence allows. It works offline for up to a week between checks. We don't enable any usage tracking or analytics beyond that licence check — no profiling of how you use the plugin, ever.
Some licences (beta and review copies) use an older, separate scheme instead: no account, no network activity at all — verified entirely on your machine.
How we use it
To process your purchase, deliver and support your licence, reply if you contact us, and — only if you've subscribed — send our newsletter. If you've accepted analytics and advertising cookies, also to understand how the site is used and to measure and show our ads, as described above. Nothing is sold, or shared beyond that and what's needed to complete a transaction (e.g. our payment processor).
How long we keep it
Purchase and licence records are kept as long as required for accounting, tax and licence-support purposes. Support messages are kept only as long as useful, then deleted. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising data is kept by Google and Meta under their own retention settings. We don't make automated decisions about you.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to: show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it (except records we're legally required to keep), restrict how we use it, or hand you a portable copy. Email support@udidsp.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
